A couple years ago, I came across the idea of using tea tins as planters on pinterest. I knew I had to try it! I love tea, plants and trying new things with my space. I love the simplicity, colour and the vintage feel they add to my living room, but most of all I love how easy they were to put together.
Plants are a great way to brighten up your space, humidify and purify the air in your home, and most of all, they help get you through the long winter months! Re-using the tea tins is a great way to save money on planters, and saves them from going to the landfill - sounds good to me!
What you need:
Any plant of your choice - it should be small enough to replant into the tin, or in a container small enough set into the tin
Any tea tin of your choice - the yellow Jasmine Tea one's are my favourite, and they are from Superstore!
A container to put your tea in
*You may need additional dirt depending on the size of your tin and plant
Directions:
Plant or place your plant into the tin and enjoy. It's that simple!
^^ I planted these 2 over a year ago and they are still going strong! ^^ |
^^ I store the tea from the tins in a mason jar ^^ |
